Two Baby Cards by Romy

Hi!
It's Romy here and I'm so excited that I had a chance to play with the new Be a Baby Star collection. I decided to make two cards with this beautiful collection. One is pink and girly, while the other one is blue and boyish.

For both cards I used the Be a Baby Star 6x6" papers for the background and the cut out sheet for the element in the center. I also added a banner and a fussy cut butterfly as a finishing touch.

My boyish card features three tags, which I cut out from the papers, as well as several embellishments and wood stars.

I love the vintage images on the tags and I think they will give any creation a nice vintage feel.

I hope you like my cards!

Stay Calm

I love, love, love the beautiful Newport collection and I had so much fun creating a beach-themed card with these wonderful papers. Here it is...

I used a variety of different papers from this collection. I also cut out a honeycomb pattern from a black sheet of paper from the Barn Market collection. The sentiment "Stay calm" was cut out from one of the Newport papers.

I hope you liked my card.

Masculine Card by Romy

Hi!

As you might know, I especially love working with girly colours on my cards. But every once in a while, I can't resist making a more masculine card. Today I will show you a card for a male person.

I actually used only Christmas-themed papers from the Christmas Cosy collection on this card. By combining these papers with a vintage tag from the Barn Market collection, I could use them to create a non-Christmas card.

I further embellished my card with lots of chipboard elements and a few gears. I also framed the tag with a resin frame to make it stand out more.

Pink Tag by Romy

Hi there!
It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a pink tag I made with the gorgeous Newport and Barn Market collections. It may not be a secret anymore that pink is my absolute favourite colour, so I had lots of fun making this tag.

The papers are a lovely mix of soft pink, dark pink and brown papers from the beautiful Barn Market and Newport collections. The lovely image in the centre of my tag was cut out from one of the Barn Market papers, as were the pretty butterflies.

I hope you liked my tag.

Mixing Different Collections

Hi!
Today I would like to show you a layout I made by mixing different Riddersholm Design collections. I love the fact that they blend together really well. On this lay-out, I combined the Cozy Christmas, Newport and Barn Market collection to create a nice backdrop for this photo of my father.

I did lots of layering with different sheets of paper and also cut out a few elements from the papers with my Big Shot.

I then framed my photo with a chipboard clock, which I made black with ink. The lovely little butterfly that you see on the photo below was cut out from the Riddersholm Design papers.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Tag with Butterflies

Hi!

Do you love pink? It's one of my favourite colours to work with, so I thought I would show you a pink tag today. I made it with a mix of papers from the beautiful Barn Market and Christmas Cosy collections.

I did some layering with different papers on this tag and also cut out a few butterflies to decorate this tag. The honeycomb pattern was cut out from one of the darker Barn Market papers with a Sizzix die.

I hope you enjoyed my blogpost.

Beach Lay-Out by Romy

Hi!
Although summer is still pretty far away, I couldn't resist making a summery lay-out with the gorgeous "Newport" and "Barn Market" collections. I  have had this photo of my niece at the beach for a while and I figured it matched these beautiful papers perfectly.

My lay-out consists of lots of layers of papers. I really enjoyed combining the wonderful blue and brown papers from this collection. I inked the edges of all papers to make the different layers stand out more.

I further decorated my layout with some gesso, chipboard pieces, resin embellishments and several fussy cut butterflies.

I hope you liked my blogpost.

Vintage Card with Butterfly

Hi!

Today it's my turn to show you a new project I made with Riddersholm Design paper.
This time I used the gorgeous Newport collection and a bit of Cozy Christmas to create a vintage-inspired card.

I did a bunch of layering on this card. The Riddersholm Design papers look so beautiful and luxurious and I feel that layering them makes them look even more beautiful. I choose a combination of brown and pink papers for my background. I then added a cut-out tag in the middle of my card and created a cluster of embellishments on top of it. The beautiful butterfly was cut out from one of the Barn Market papers.

It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a vintage lay-out I made using some wonderful papers from the Christmas Cosy and Newport collections. I love the fact that different Riddersholm Design blend together really well and had lots of fun mixing these two collections to create this layout.

My design consists of many layers. I teared the edges of a few papers and used them to create a nice composition at the top of my lay-out.

I further decorated my layout with a resin angels, several flowers, cut out butterflies and a chipboard banner. I also used gold glitter to add several glitter touches to my layout.

Hi!

Have you created a card for your loved ones for Valentine's Day yet? I'm planning to send a card to my parents this Valentine's Day and used the gorgeous Newport collection from Riddersholm Design to make one.

I used a wonderful combination of brown and pink papers from the Newport collection on this card. I also cut out a few tags and other images from the cut-out sheets and arranged them on the background of my card. The sentiment and butterflies are also cut out from these papers.

I further embellished my card with pearls and a resin heart for a romantic touch.

Lovebirds Card

Hi!

It's Romy here today and since Valentine's Day is just around the corner I would like to show you a card featuring two lovebirds today. This beautiful image of two birds was printed on one of the Newport papers and I just had to make it a central element on my card.

The beautiful butterflies and the tag behind the bird are also cut out from the Newport papers. I just love doing lots of fussy cutting from these wonderful collections! I also framed the love birds with a metal clock and a doily to make them stand out more. The doily was cut out from one of the Christmas Cosy papers.

I hope you liked my card today.

Spring Card by Romy

Hi!
It's Romy here and first of all I would like to wish you all a very happy 2016!
As the new year has just begun, I was in the mood for a spring creation. I therefore took the gorgeous "Newport" collection and used these papers to create a vintage-inspired spring card.

My card features a lot of layering of both typical rectangles and cut out tagsand images. I wanted the bird in its nest to be the central element on my card and therefore incorporated that image in the middle of my card.

I also used some lovely butterflies to further embellish my card. Just love these beauties, as they always make a perfect finishing touch on every kind of project.

I hope you liked my card.

Christmas Tag by Romy

Hi!
Are you ready for Christmas yet? I'm actually still working on a few final Christmas cards and tags to send to friends and family.
Last week I made another card with lots of gorgeous Cosy Christmas papers. I really love these papers and they make creating Christmas cards a true delight.

I worked with lots of layers on this tag and also incorporated some fussy cut images. The cute image with children was cut out from one of the cut-out sheets, as well as the tags, thesentiment and the beautiful butterflies. I actually used hardly anything but papers on this tag. The only embellishments that I added are a few wood stars, a chipboard title and some pearls.

I hope I could give you some last minute Christmas inspiration with this tag.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas!

Two Cards by Romy

Hi!

It's Romy on the blog today and I would like to show you two cards I made with the gorgeous 'Christmas Cosy' collection from Riddersholm Design. This is actually my very first blogpost as an official design team member for Riddersholm Design. Yes, that's right. From now on, I'm continuing as a permanent design team member and I can't even put into words how excited I am about that :)

My first card shows the versatility of the beautiful Christmas Cosy collection, as I used these papers to create a 'New home' card instead of a holiday card. I combined these papers with some images that I cut out from the beautiful Barn Market collection. Aren't those birds just super pretty? They are part of the Barn Market cut-out sheet.

I further embellished my card with a few fussy cut butterflies, which are also printed on the Barn Market papers.

My second card is a Christmas card with a traditional colour combination of red, green and brown. Again I had lots of fun using the beautiful cut-out images from this collection and arranged several fussy cut images to create a nice scenery on my card.

I used a vintage image of Santa Claus as the focal point on my card and further embellished my card with a few smaller fussy cut elements, such as two cherubs and a ticket.

I hope you liked my blogpost.

Be Happy Card by Romy

Hi!
It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a vintage card that I made using two gorgeous Riddersholm Design collections: Barn Market and Christmas Cosy.

I made this card for a very dear friend of mine, who loves everything girly. So I figured it would be nice to make her a pink and elegant card. The beautiful pink background paper from the Barn Market collection was just perfect for that. I also added a rectangle from one of the Christmas Cosy papers on top of it to give my card a more neutral look.

I then cut out several pretty elements from the Barn door papers: the image of the boy and girl, the tag, a dragonfly and some butterflies. I decorated some of them with orange rhinestones to make them stand out a little more.

The sentiment 'Be Happy' on my card is also from Riddersholm Design. I just love those little banners and they are simply perfect for cardmaking!

I hope you liked my card!

Fall Card & Winter Lay-out by Romy

Hi!
It's Romy here on the blog today and I'm excited to share two of my very first creations as a guest designer for Riddersholm Design with you.

My first project is a fall card featuring the gorgeous Barn Market collection.

I absolutely loved the gorgeous cut-out sheet that is part of this collection and cut out a tag, a sentiment and the owl card from this sheet. I arranged them in the center of my card to make them the main focus of attention.

I also cut out a few butterflies from the papers to further decorate my card.

My second project is a winter lay-out that I made with the amazing Christmas Cosy papers. I just love the deep and warm tones in this collection and had lots of fun adding layer upon layer to create this lay-out.

You can better see all the layers that I added on the close-up photo below. I also tucked in a few envelopes in my lay-out and put small tags inside of them. These tags were also cut out from the beautiful Riddersholm Design cut-out sheets. Just love them!
