Vintage Christmas Cards

Hi :)

Card with a window through which you can see one of the graphics. Vintage style of this card was achieved with beautiful papers that I painted with brown ink.

I splashed them for white.

You can clearly see that how even small number of extras can be used to extract real value of those amazing papers.

Second card was made with Vintage Venture papers and the text which is available in the shop.

Main theme is a Christmas tree.

Da jeg første gang så den lækre serie VINTAGE VENTURE og de lækre nuancer

viste jeg med det samme at jeg skulle "lege" med Gelatos og Sizzix tandhjul og

her er resultatet.

Ud over papir og tandhjul har jeg brugt gamle mønter, vingemøtrikker, sikkerheds-

nåle og lidt Tim Holtz pynt.

                         Well it is a snowing here....which makes me crave all things bright and white.....sweater weather.     I pulled out my Our Country Christmas and enjoyed doing some diecutting and layering.  I ended up with a sweet little mini banner all done up in whites and creams so my sweet Santa image can really pop!  My jingle bells were aged gold so I added a bit of faux snow to them to keep them nuetral.    Now this is ready to add a bit of cheer to a wintery corner soon!                                                                                         Hugs, cherry

Christmas in our house

I printed a photo strip with some Instagram pictures from last Christmas, for a layout about how we prepare for a genuine country Christmas. We bake gingerbread cookies, wrap presents, write wish lists, and make our typical Swedish meatballs from the boar daddy has shot out by the sea. We also make lots and lots of homemade candy, of course.

Our Country Christmas is such a great Christmas collection. I really like the colors and patterns of the papers. I have used a 12X12" paper for the background, but also papers from the 6X6" paper pad, which I have cut up in thin strips and layered behind the photo strip.

I put on this adorable chipboard birdie on a swirly branch from Wycinanka.

Here is a little close-up. The stamps behind the decorations are from Riddersholm's Christmas Clearstamp set.

traditional and nuetrals...

                               Creating is my safe escape.  I can lose myself in my little room....way back at the end of the house. I find myself craving to steal a few moments back there.  Here are a few of my latest results from stolen moments.    I thought I would share some cards I made for Riddersholm Designs.   Such beautiful papers.  The first is more traditional in color.   The other two are again in that neutral palette that I have been enjoying lately.  The papers I used are from the Our Country Christmas   and A Christmas Story .   There is such a wonderful mix of classic and nuetrals in these collections.  Some of which can be used all year around.  Well the clock is ticking my bedtime...off I go!   hugs, cherry
