Hang It Up

Most often I find myself creating something that can hang in my craft room for inspiration, pops of color and gives me a little pick-me-up on those down days.

This set today does it all.  Featuring beautiful Riddersholm ribbon, papers, tags and the amazing new mulberry flowers.  Layers of leaves, which I adhered to a die cut circle wreath, sprinkled with adhesive pearls and topped with one layered flower.  Here is how you create this flower.

Begin by using one of these flowers.  Remove the green leaf portion of the flower, unless you like the green color on the flower petals.  Soak in a shallow bowl of water until the flower is wet.  Set on a towel or napkin.  Carefully begin spreading the petals out from the center.  The bottom two layers will remove themselves.  Allow to dry.  For the second flower follow my post HERE.  Once both flowers are dry, adhere together.

Recipe box

Hi! I’m back with another quick and simple project to share today – a recipe box. I’ve started a new life health wise and thought I’d collect my new healthy recipes in one place on recipe cards. So I made templates for the cards in Word, ready to just write in ingredients and instructions and then print, and a box to hold them.

For this project I used the fabulous Huntington Garden papers.

The box is the easiest EVER, take a 12x12 paper, fold at 3” and 6”, turn the paper one quarter and score at 3” and 9”. Fold all the lines and cut into the 3 and 9 lines to the first intersections of the 3 and 6 lines on both sides. Trim the tall outer section to form the rounded edges. Glue together and you are done. Takes 5-10 minutes. Perfect to store cards in too.

Decorated box

Hi all

My mother came one day with a box for me. She had bought a little speaker for her phone and it came in this funny box. She thought (knowing me too well) that it could be decorated, and used for something - and off course she thought right

I decorated it with Bello Pastello papers, Prima flowers, lace, ribbon, pearls and som tags wich I cut out from Chantilly Dawn papers 

The box opens in two steps. I will put some tea-bags in the top compartment you see here.

I wrote a little Winnie The Pooh quote on the side about friends

 

In the big compartment I will put some chocolates - and I would have a fine present for a good friend

I have a cup of coffee (I love coffee!!!), and fruit tea.

And... what now? Just have fun!!!

Fuglehus

Jeg har købt et træfuglehus som kan åbnes bag i så det kan bruges som et gavehus, jeg har brugt papir fra forskelligge af de lækre papirer som findes i Riddersholm's webshop, blomsterne er dem som jeg indfarvede i et tidligere indlæg og som sammen med blonder findes i RD's sortimentet.
Jeg har brugt forskellige Martha Stewart punch til taget,vinduet er embosset med hvis embossing, brugt glossy accent fra Ranger på fuglen.

The beginning of the house...

I have made this layout, with pics from the building of my son and her girlfriends new house. I am going to make an album, with layouts from the start to the day they moved ind...and now when they have lived there for the first halfe year.
Papers er from Fleamarket, lace and pearls also from the shop.

The flowers from "Ink It", also from the shop, has been colored with Glimmermist blue and brown.

You color my world

HI!

I have an easy alter project to share today. Our neighbors invited us to a spontaneous barbeque party and I needed a quick gift for the hostess. So I took a tin that had once contained tomatoes from our recycling bin and removed the paper and added some of my own fabulous Huntington Garden paper instead. With a ribbon, a cut out tag pimped with a dragonfly and sentiment it was done. Took like 20 minutes. I loooove quick and easy projects!

I put some flowers from the garden in it, but when they are out, she could use it for pens or something.
