Wedding Cards with Tailgate Marked Collection

In the northern hemisphere we are heading into summer and wedding season. This week I decided I needed to do a few wedding cards and I chose the gorgeous Tailgate Marked collection to make my cards.

For my first card I chose the gorgeous Bygone Era paper as my base. I added a doily from my stash and started piling the card with flowers from my stash. Calla lilies always remind me of weddings so I tucked one in my flower cluster here. To finish off the card I stitched around the edge of the card base and the photo!

For my second card I used the Poppy paper for my base. I always like to make themed cards in sets and I again stitched around my card base and photo for this card and tucked a doily underneath. For this one I also piled on the flower and added a sumptuous bow of ribbon and lace.

I absolutely love all the paper collections the Connie designs. Tailgate Marked is a gorgeous vintage set in my favorite blues and browns and is a standby favorite for me.  I hope you enjoyed these cards, and thank you so much for visiting!!

Christmas Papers Aren't Just for Christmas by Cathi

I have so many beautiful Riddersholm papers in my stash and this week when looking for the perfect pinks to match my vintage image, I found them in the gorgeous Christmas Story line!!!

Here you can see the gorgeous flowers from my stash nestled around my image. I have added gorgeous Wycinaka chatelaine chipboard. I added a fun "moments" lightbulb from Prima as well.  My base page is called Nebula and the lighter pink paper tucket under the photo is called Father Claus, both from the Christmas Story line.

I added some masking to the background of my pages and added the gorgeous Riddersholm Designs Glitter Glass in clear. I have added a gorgeous Reneabouquet butterfly whose colors and roses fit in perfectly with this layout.

To finish off my layout I added some tiny text, another Wycinaka flourish chipboard and some stitching around the edges. Christmas isn't just for Christmas anymore!!!

Barnmarket Vintage Cards with Cathi

Hello, Cathi here with some more cards! I have been on a cardmaking kick lately and wanted to use the Barnmarket line to create some gorgeous vintage cards.

My first card and all the cards use the beautiful Spottet Rose paper in that gorgeous shade of blue. I have layered this card with the equally gorgeous Blackboard paper in soft pink to which I have added some stitching!  I added a shipping tag which I distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, then layered several images from the Barnmarket paper, including the Special Friend cut outs. I had all the gorgeous flowers in my stash and added the butterflies also found on the cut apart paper. I added some twine and staples to the background and to the tag.

Here you can see the great dimension the butterflies give the card along with the gorgeous flowers.

For my second card I started with the Blackboard paper adding stitching around the edges. I then layered the Spottet Rose paper, again adding stitching. Again I have added a cut out from the Barnmarket sheet along with a sentiment and two gorgeous butterflies.

The butterflies look like they are ready to fly off the page, and you can see here how I popped the sentiment up on foam dots.

My final card is very dimensional. Again I have used the beautiful Spottet Rose  as my base, doing double stitching around the edge of the paper. I love the dragonfly tag and the sentiment from the Barnmarket paper.  I added a gorgeous flower vine and added another butterfly cut out to add amongst it branches, tucking a doily under to bring the design together.

I love the look of the cards created with Barnmarket . It is a beautiful collection, check it out here in the store!!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Nature Collage Card with Newport Collection

Hello fellow crafters! Cathi here! Can you tell I love the Newport collection? Last time I made a card and tag with the beachy themed papers and today I wanted to do a nature collage with the gorgeous pinks from the set!

To add some great texture I layered some corrugated cardboard over the gorgeous Breeze paper from the collection.  I added some delicate Wycinaka chipboard to the card as well as tucking in some scraps from the other side of the Breeze paper underneath my collage.

Riddersholm Designs collections always come with a gorgeous cutout sheet of images and tags. I have added several to this card.

I added some gorgeous Prima flowers and buttons from my stash and finished off my card with a triple row of stitching.

Newport is such a versatile collection with stunning colors and themes, check it out in the shop!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beachy Tag and Card Set using the Newport Collection by Cathi

Hello crafty friends, Cathi here! Last project I did for Riddersholm used the pastel pink shades in the Newport collection for a spring theme! Today I used the gorgeous beachy Shells paper from the collection with my favorite blues, browns and grays. I absolutely love how my tag and card turned out!

For the tag, I cut out the shape and inked the edges. I also sewed in dark gray thread around the edge of the tag. I fussy cut the compass shape from the paper, again inking the edges.

I love the colors of the Prima flowers I used on these project this week, they match so well with the papers! I added some thick netting to fit the beach theme!

Of course I had to tuck in some shells, and also added a cut out title to the tag, Stay Calm and listen to the waves!  I also added in some Wycinaka chipboard grasses.

Here you can see where I added some splashes done with Shimmerz Texturez and a stencil. I finished off the tag with a lot of gorgeous ribbons and lace found in the shop!

My card also uses the gorgeous Shells paper.Again I added gray stitching to the edge of the card.

I built up the card starting with the gorgeous neutral flowers from Prima in gray and black. I added some shells into the cluster and the gorgeous thick netting.

I tucked in a few more white flowers, added some cutout pieces to the card and added my favorite script stamp to the background.

I hope you like my tag and card set, they are some of my favorite pieces for the year.  Have a look at the gorgeous Newport Collection it is so versatile!

Spring Inspiration with Newport papers

Hello crafting friends, Cathi here! Spring is coming and Easter is on the way, so I wanted to share the gorgeous pink pastel papers in the Newport collection! I have chosen a sweet photo of my eldest when she was little, on a nature walk we did one spring afternoon many years ago! I chose for my base page the beautiful Breeze paper, so soft and beautiful!

I just love using the cutouts from the collections and this layout is no different. You can see some tags and pieces I used and some of the butterflies I cut out from the papers too!. I made some small blooms using the papers from the collection as well.

I love adding the Riddersholm Glitter Glass to a layout for some extra texture. Here you can see lots of the stitching, misting, splashing and stamping I have done too. I just love the ivy vine I found in my stash, added a great touch to the woodland photo!

Here you can see a few layers of the Postcard paper, which is the same paper I used to make my pretty little rolled blossoms. Finally, after adding more flowers and vines, tags and stamping to my layout, I finished it off with a title chipboard from Wycinaka: Sweet Love.

I had a great time working with layers and mixed media for this layout and I hope you like it! It was great to get out some of my favorite stamps and just have fun.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Vintage Easter with Vintage Venture!

I was looking through my vintage images recently, getting ready to make some cards and I found these gorgeous Easter images that I had printed out last year, I thought they'd be perfect for my project this week! Vintage Venture has some lovely soft colors in it which are perfect for these cards.

My first card features the Carte paper and the Farewell paper. I covered the seam between the papers with some lace and also stitched around the edge of the card.  I added some gorgeous flowers from my stash then a twine bow and a paperclip to finish it off.

There were some really cool Easter images I found. Here is one again using the  Carte paper and the Farewell paper. I added some twine, some flowers and the "be happy" chipboard from Wycinaka.
I added stitching around the edge and another paper clip to finish it off.

I tend to stick to a theme when making a set of cards and this final one is no different. I used the Carte paper as my base and added a doily and vintage image with a lady and her basket of pastel eggs! Again I used flowers from my stash and a twine bow as well as gorgeous Wycinaka "love" chipboard. As I did before I finished off the card with some stitching and another little paper clip.

Hope you like my vintage image cards this week, I always love to use Riddersholm papers with them as they are a perfect match for vintage photos! Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Vintage Cards with Barnmarket!

Hello friends! Cathi here today with some cards featuring the gorgeous Barnmarket papers from Riddersholm Designs!! I just love these deep colored vintage papers in this collection! I took all my images from the beautiful Barnmarket cutout page and the base of my cards is from the stunning Silverware sheet, I used both sides for some cards with very different colorings!

I kept a theme throughout all three cards of distressing and stitching the edges and wrapping twine! I chose a vintage photo tag for each along with some vintage images on the sheet. For my first card I wrapped twine horizontally across the card in a random pattern. I chose the sweet child image and flower tag, then cut out the Best Friend sentiment and fussy cut some butterflies. The flowers are a mixture of flowers from my stash.

For my second card I chose a more bohemian image and fun old ad cut out, again layering them over a horizontal pattern of twine. I chose the sentiment If you dream it you can become it. I added dark blue stitching to the card lots of flowers from my stash and just a few butterflies.

My final card uses the other side of the paper. I got this gorgeous vintage image that is part of the Barnmarket set along with the sweet own and butterfly. I chose the Love You sentiment.  The images are set on top of a vertical pattern of twine this time and I added orange stitching to the edge.

I love how these cards turned out and I thank you so much for stopping buy, be sure to check out the Riddersholm Shop!!!

Delightful: A Barnmarket Layout by Cathi

This week I would love the share a layout I made using the beautiful Barnmarket collection. I chose the stunning Any Man paper as my base.

I used the Blackboard papers (both sides) for my layers and many of the cut outs pieces in the collection from the Barnmarket page which I just love to tuck into my layers and use as titles. I used some fun Tim Holtz paper clips which I clipped onto my vintage image, and one of Reneabouquets gorgeous butterflies.

I just love the vine and nest I found in my stash and added them to my layout, tucking in another cutout and adding some masking and molding paste.

To finish off my layout I made a mini cluster in the bottom corner, adding more gorgeous blue and brown flowers from Prima and Petaloo and one of Reneabouquets butterflies. I added another cutout, "Life is What You Make it" from the collection.

I just love the colors Connie used in this collection, beautiful!
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting and thanks for looking!

Christmas Cosy Christmas Ornament Cards by Cathi

I had a great time making these cards this week. I decided to make them do double duty and they are also ornaments for the tree.  They are all using the gorgeous collection Christmas Cosy!

Here you can see my first two cards. I used some decorative die shapes by Spellbinders to make my ornament shapes, then cut out images from the collection as my focal points. The paper I used for my card base is the gorgeous Christmas Cosy Sparrow paper.  I used the gorgeous Riddersholm Glitter Glass in red to decorate one of my ornaments!  I added some flowers from my stash and some twine and pearl strings to decorate!

These next set of cards also feature decorative die shapes cut out from the beautiful Christmas Cosy Starry paper and gorgeous cut out images from the collection. The base papers are Christmas Cosy On His Way. I have added gorgeous flowers and twine bows again and even a little pine cone!

My secret for the temporary adhesive for the ornaments to my cards is this: blue tack!

I really love making paper ornaments and I hope that you like them!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
