Farm Girl Friday April

Hi there blog readers

Well my challenge to the Design Team this month was - use your favorite (NOT) scrapbbooking accesorie, could be something recycling. It has to be spring and light colors.
Remember to leave a comment under the post - we will draw a winner of a lovely giveaway :o)

Anna
I made a stand for my inks.
I used some glass plates and bowls, and beautiful Riddersholm Design goodies :-)

I made a layout for this challenge - with a photo from a few years ago, of one of the first visits at the playground for the year. The papers are from the Huntington Garden collection.
Here's my favourite recycled non-scrapbooking accessory - lightbulbs tucked in here and there in the flower clusters. I love using lightbulbs of various sizes and models while scrapbooking, and having a partner who owns thirty-something vintage mopeds means a lot of headlights to keep working, and thus I get a few burned-out bulbs in appropriate sizes once in a while. These particular ones are from an electric candlestick.

 Cherry nelson pincushion
vintage crochet HOME SWEET HOME MAMA BIRD NEST pincushion using bird cabochons from store and Huntington Gardens bird tags

I´ve made a card and used Isinglass for the window
I´ve used Huntington garden and Fall Flea Market papers, ribbon and pearls from the shop

I used cinnamon stick, some wooden circles, cork sheet from which i die cut the heart and sisal and of course all the apers, chipboard and white flowers are from Riddersholm design.

Huntington Garden layout

Hi y'all!
I'm here with a layout today, featuring Huntington Garden and Ink-it flowers. I started the layout out with a sheet of cardstock, which I covered with gesso, and then I used mists and masks to create the background.

I have painted the edges of the flowers with Distress ink, and then I just dipped them, very quickly, in a bowl of water, to make the ink spread a bit from the edge. It is such a fun technique to use on these flowers, and what's most interesting about it is that you never know, from one time to another, just how the flowers will turn out! Here's a closeup of how they turned out on this particular layout.
Happy scrapping, everyone!

Ramme

Hej

Premium Quality...

Hi there!  So excited to share this vintage crochet pocket I created for Riddersholm Designs today.  I started with a vintage crochet doily square and created a quilt batting liner for the inside.  I stitched them together and than went to work embellishing the front.  I used old laces, rolled burlap rose, ribbons, and a fun little tag with a fussy cut image from Fall Flea market and some background stamps using Doilies and lace.   Each tag uses background papers from Fall Flea Market, Huntington Gardens.   I created my focal points using some of the beautiful images from these collections as well.  I also used one of the Lovely flowers (I took the stamens out)that I tucked a cabochon on top of with a jewelry setting.  So many fun things you can do with the flowers.  I have another idea I will be sharing soon using them.  Hope you enjoyed my creation!  Hugs, cherry
